Prayer in the Style of Taizé Resumes!

-

Location: Newman University Church

17 Jan

After a hiatus for Christmas, Prayer in the Style of Taizé resumes on 17 January at 6pm and will continue until the beginning of June. Please consider joining us in prayer.

Prayer in the Style of Taizé is named for the ecumenical Christian community formed in Taizé, France. The Taizé community includes brothers from all Christian denominations, including Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox traditions.

What should I expect from a Taizé service?

The church is dimly lit and our Taizé cross is brought out as a focal point for prayer. There is meditative song, silence, readings, and prayer. During the procession of light each person brings up their lit candle to the cross to pray.

What if I can't make it to Dublin?

We live stream our services every Tuesday at 6pm! Check it out on our YouTube channel.
