A series of two discussion panels exploring the history and contemporary relevance of John Henry Newman’s seminal work The Idea of a University (1854), written by him while Rector of the Catholic University of Ireland. The discussion panels will be of interest not only to Newman scholars, but to those with a more general interest in Newman and his works, and with an interest in university education.
