Starting on Tuesday, September 26, the Notre Dame-Newman Centre will host weekly, ecumenical gatherings of song and prayer in the style of Taizé. Please spread the word, and know that you will be welcome to this calming, contemplative form of prayer and praise. The weekly services will begin at 6:00PM.
Starting on the first Sunday of Lent (5 March 2017) a new weekend liturgy has been added to the Newman University Church mass schedule, at 6:15pm. Choir rehearsal takes place immediately proceeding the liturgy in Newman Church Choir Gallery at 5:00pm. A new choir has been formed to provide music at this mass, and voices are welcome! Please spread the word!

To mark ten years since the death of writer and philosopher John Moriarty, The Irish Catholic and the Notre Dame Newman Centre for Faith and Reason are hosting an evening lecture. Many regard Moriarty as a major writer, comparable to Yeats, Joyce and Beckett. The poet Paul Durcan has described Moriarty as “the original, radical, non-conformist questioner”. John sought a rebirth of a Christianity that was inclusive of all religions and mythologies, and that took account of the deep and often dark dimensions of our turbulent humanity.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT, BUT PRE-REGISTRATION IS APPRECIATED.
